
LE2C has been elected as a member of the Governing Board of the new National Energy Technology Cluster, which brings together 72 organisations from the business, academic, research and regional government sectors.
The Governing Board is composed of Eni, Enel with e-distribuzione, General Electric-Nuovo Pignone, Terna, CNR, RSE, EnSiEL, Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster, and is chaired and coordinated by ENEA. The Governing Board will pursue initiatives concerning the creation and development of smart grid and energy storage technologies in the former case, and the generation of electricity and heat from concentrated solar power in the latter.
LE2C will collaborate with the other 71 members in the promotion, sharing and transfer of specialist knowledge and expertise between research and industry, implementing pilot projects across all areas of energy innovation.
