Women TechEU: new support for female entrepreneurship

The European Commission has recently launched Women TechEU, a new initiative under the European Innovation Ecosystems of Horizon Europe, aimed at women leading deep tech start-ups, with the goal of supporting them in scaling their businesses.

Per presentare domanda è necessario che l’impresa abbia tra i fondatori o co-fondatori una figura femminile, che ricopra allo stesso tempo una posizione dirigenziale (CEO, CTO o equivalente).

Inoltre, la start up deep tech deve essere stata fondata e registrata almeno 6 mesi prima della data di chiusura del bando e avere sede in uno Stato membro o in uno Stato Associato del Programma Horizon Europe.

Successful start-ups will benefit from:

  • financial support of 75,000 euros to support the initial stages of the company's innovation and growth process;
  • mentoring and coaching provided by theEIC Business Accelerator Services (BAS), as part of the new Women Leadership Programme, which includes dedicated networking and pitching activities;
  • participation in specific activities organised by InvestEU and the Enterprise Europe Network.

The indicative budget of €3.75 million will allow the Commission to fund approximately 50 project proposals.

The call opened on 13 July, and applications may be submitted by 17:00 on 10 November.
