The Textile Innovation Hub (Po.in.tex), managed by Città Studi Biella, is organising the SmartX Brokerage Event, a videoconference to be held on Tuesday 23 June - from 10:00 to 14:00 - which will feature presentations from leading experts on current developments in the smart textiles sector. The second SmartX call will also be presented, which provides funding for SMEs and start-ups for projects related to smart textiles.

The event will cover cutting-edge smart textiles, market trends and success stories.

Following the opening by Lutz Walter (Textile ETP), SmartX coordinator, there will be contributions from key industry leaders: James Hayward (Idtehex), Joao Gomes (Centi), Francesca Rosella (Cutecircuit) and smart textile expert Etienne Fradin-Beaugerie.

The second part of the videoconference will feature Miquel Ridao, founder and CEO of Sensing Tex, who will share his experience of applying for SmartX funding. Christian Dalsgaard (Ohmatex), a member of the project selection committee, will share his advice for SMEs and start-ups applying to the current call.
