
The European Commission has recently announced the results of the EIC Accelerator calls (8 January 2020 cut-off) and the EIC Pathfinder calls (18 September 2019 and 8 October 2019 cut-offs).
Through the EIC Accelerator call, €182 million has been awarded to 44 winning projects. The countries with the highest number of winning projects are Spain and France (7 each), followed by Germany (6) and Israel and Switzerland (4 each). No projects from Italy were successful.
Statistically, 21 companies will benefit from blended finance (grant plus equity), with an estimated average equity investment per beneficiary of €4.61 million (totalling nearly €97 million).
Regarding the EIC Pathfinder, €162 million has been awarded to 63 research projects.
