Reforms for Europe: business proposals

For months now, potential strategies to boost employment and growth and to increase Italy’s influence in Europe have been at the centre of public debate.

Today in Rome, we begin a journey that will take us and our entrepreneurs to five Italian cities to discuss business proposals ahead of the European elections.

Five stages of a roadshow that will visit the five electoral constituencies:

The document "Reforms for Europe: Business Proposals" contains our recommendations, outlining not only what Europe should do to return to growth and be competitive on the global stage, but also how and with what resources.

The digital revolution, climate change, migration flows, and new global geopolitical balances represent unprecedented challenges that make a profound rethink of the rules and tools upon which the Union has been based until now both urgent and necessary.

The objective must be to create growth, employment, and prosperity for citizens.

This requires policies that enable the creation of jobs for the new generation and that respond robustly to the climate of distrust and discontent pervading those European citizens who are convinced that the Union is unable to protect them from external threats and exposes them, domestically, to fewer guarantees and rights, leading to impoverishment and precariousness.

Reforms that return decisions and their consequent responsibilities to democratically elected European institutions, ensuring that citizens feel included rather than alienated from the choices that so significantly affect their lives.

Our vision focuses on three key concepts: more jobs, more growth, more international "influence", proposing three interconnected missions.
