Please note that the deadline for submitting project proposals for the three Horizon 2020 calls, “Protecting the infrastructure of Europe and the people in European smart cities”, “Security”, and “Digital security”, passed on 22 August.

In total, the Research Executive Agency (REA) has received grant funding requests amounting to nearly €2 billion, against a total available budget of €233.36 million.

Projects will be selected by independent external evaluators chosen from a European Commission expert database. Evaluations will commence on 30 September, with results to be announced by the end of January 2020; grant agreements will be signed with the REA by the end of April of the same year.
