The European Commission and EASME, the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, have launched the Ready2GO pilot project to support European SMEs in internationalising and reaching 5 target markets outside Europe.
The project, promoted by the Commission, is managed by an international consortium led by Promos, in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network.
This programme is aimed at 80 selected SMEs, which will be equipped with the necessary tools to operate successfully abroad, with a focus on 5 countries: Cameroon, Chile, India, Canada and the United States. Participants will receive information on how to operate abroad and will also have the opportunity to take the first steps towards establishing commercial relationships in these countries, receiving practical support for internationalisation.
The programme is divided into two stages:
First stage: training and individual coaching
The aim of the training for each company will be to draft an internationalisation business plan, a strategic profile to set objectives and initiate their international development. Each participating company will receive remote support and consultancy from Ready2Go for the entire duration of the programme.
Participants will be able to take advantage of an individual training plan and attend two training courses held in five European cities.
Second stage: matchmaking and business meetings abroad
In the second stage, the Ready2Go programme includes matchmaking activities and participation in two business missions abroad, which will allow participants to establish relationships with the most suitable companies in the destination countries.
