The European Commission has published the Interim Evaluation of the “Fast Track to Innovation” (FTI) pilot action

The report aims to provide a general overview of funding demand and the nature of the FTI projects funded.

The report highlights that the FTI is highly relevant to the overall objectives of Horizon 2020 aimed at promoting innovation and its application, providing an overview of funding demand as well as the nature of the projects funded. The document stresses that this project should continue beyond its current lifecycle, given that the weaknesses identified in the selection and evaluation process can be easily addressed in the short term.
