The new "Research and Innovation Call - 2016 edition" was published on 15 July. The call will open on 6 September with a total budget of approximately 3 million euros.

Of the three measures provided, one is specifically dedicated to Lombardy-based companies that were awarded the “Seal of Excellence” in Phase 1 of the SME Instrument, but were not eligible for funding due to the exhaustion of EU funds.

The objective is to reward excellent proposals and promote the submission of high-quality projects for Phase 2.

The amount of each grant/voucher is €30,000 (the total budget is €450,000) and is intended for companies based in one of the Lombardy provinces that achieved the minimum threshold score (13 points), receiving the “Seal of Excellence” in the cut-off periods between September 2015 and September 2016.
