This instrument is designed to promote the research, development, and testing of innovative solutions for the efficient and sustainable use of resources, in order to encourage the transition of production activities towards a circular economy model.

The call has a total budget of 217 million euros, allocated as follows:

  • 155 million euros for the provision of subsidised loans, funded by the Revolving Fund for Business Support and Research Investment (FRI);
  • 62 million euros for the provision of grants, of which:
    • 40 million from the Development and Cohesion Fund, with 80% allocated to projects in the Southern regions and 20% to those in the Central-Northern regions;
    • 20 million from the Sustainable Growth Fund, allocated to projects implemented across the entire national territory;
    • 2 million from resources made available by the Basilicata Region, for the support of projects implemented within the regional territory.

The call is open to businesses of any size operating in industrial, agro-industrial, craft, and industrial service sectors, as well as research centres, submitting projects either individually or jointly. Please note that for joint projects only, public and private research organisations are also permitted to participate as co-applicants.
