Il partenariato pubblico privato Innovative Medicine Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking (IMI 2 JU) ha pubblicato la 9° call for proposals, nell’ambito del programma Horizon 2020.

The IMI 2 Joint Undertaking is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the European Commission and EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations), which represents the interests of European pharmaceutical industries and associations, with the aim of developing new vaccines, medicines and treatments to address the growing changes in the health sector in Europe and ensure the international competitiveness of the European pharmaceutical industry.

The 9th call will fund 6 research and innovation projects aimed at creating new knowledge and/or exploring the feasibility of a new or improved product, process, technology, service or solution.

The co-funding rate is set at 100%.

The call consists of two stages:

• Stage 1: All interested parties are invited to form consortia and submit a "short" proposal of up to 30 pages by the deadline of 26 July 2016.
• Stage 2: In stage 2, the consortia that have passed stage 1 and the EFPIA consortium that drafted the topic are invited to form a (final) consortium and submit a full proposal of up to 70 pages by the deadline of 10 January 2017.

The call has a total budget of €117 million.
