On 20 March, the Confindustria system published a document entitled “Addressing the economic emergency to protect employment”, which outlines the strategic guidelines for supporting the business community during this emergency.

In line with its contents, the Presidents of the Small Industry divisions of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, Confindustria Lombardia, and Confindustria Veneto, together with their respective regional committees—representing the regions most severely impacted by Covid-19—urge the adoption of the measures set out in the document as soon as possible. Furthermore, in light of the additional restrictions imposed on production activities by the Prime Ministerial Decree of 22 March, they consider further urgent measures for SMEs to be essential.
