On 20 November 2018, the Regional Council of Lombardy approved a commitment by the Regional Executive to ensure that the promotion of the Lombardy healthcare system abroad is carried out in coordination with the Lombardy Life Sciences Cluster.

Given the importance of the competitiveness of the Lombardy supply chain, the Cluster is now committed to promoting its excellence beyond national borders to attract investment and resources to the region. Through its multiple helix model, which brings together all entities operating in the area, the Cluster is the ideal tool for increasing their visibility, stimulating new synergies and collaborations with foreign partners, and leveraging European projects to boost innovation within its supply chains, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of international beneficiaries.

This significant milestone was achieved through the joint efforts of the Lombardy Life Sciences Cluster and the business associations Assolombarda and Confindustria Lombardia. Assolombarda has been active in this field for years and has launched the Health Lombardy platform to raise awareness and improve the accessibility of the Lombardy healthcare system.
