During its meeting on 22 January, the Regional Executive, regarding the consolidation process of the Lombardy technology clusters, initiated, at the proposal of Confindustria Lombardia, the process that will lead to the establishment of a Steering Committee for Lombardy technology clusters, chaired by the Regional Ministers for Economic Development and for University, Research and Open Innovation.
This is intended to ensure greater coordination of research policies and to guarantee synergy between the research and business sectors.

In the official document, the Region expresses its intention to strengthen the governance consolidation process of the clusters so that they may increasingly become "enabling ecosystems", conducive to the development of innovation, competitiveness and the international attractiveness of Lombardy.
