The Regional Environmental Energy Programme (PEAR) serves as the strategic planning instrument for energy and environmental matters, through which the Lombardy Region will define its objectives for energy saving and the development of renewable energy sources (RES), in line with the mandatory RES usage quotas assigned to the Regions under the so-called "burden sharing" decree and the new 2014-2020 EU Programming.
