The implementation criteria for the “Export Passport” initiative were published in the BURL on 12 May. The purpose of this measure is to support smaller, less internationalised businesses that possess strong competitive potential in navigating international markets. The implementation of this initiative is delegated to Unioncamere Lombardia, as the lead project partner, and to the participating Lombard Chambers of Commerce (Cremona, Lecco, Lodi, Mantova, Pavia, Sondrio and Varese).
The programme involves the placement of a Temporary Export Manager, alongside training sessions, to assist businesses in structuring themselves for international markets; this is followed by the provision of a non-repayable grant to facilitate the practical implementation of internationalisation activities. Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with a registered office and operational base in Lombardy, located within one of the provinces of the participating Chambers of Commerce, will be eligible to apply and will be selected through a public call for tenders.
