New Innovation Fund Call: Opportunities for Innovative Low-Carbon Projects

Confindustria Lombardia, as part of its Enterprise Europe Network activities, is highlighting two calls for proposals launched under the Innovation Fund 2024, one of the largest European funding programmes for innovative low-carbon technologies, managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

The calls in question are:

1) Innovation Fund 2024 - EV Batteries (IF24 Battery);
2) Innovation Fund call 2024 - Net Zero Technologies (IF24 Call).

The IF24 Battery is dedicated to the production of battery cells for electric vehicles, with the aim of strengthening European industrial capacity and meeting the growing demand for electric mobility.
The call has a total budget of €1 billion, with eligibility criteria requiring projects to have capital expenditure (capex) exceeding €2.5 million and a maximum grant of 60% of relevant costs.

The IF24 Call supports projects across various decarbonisation sectors, including large-scale projects, innovative technologies, and clean-tech manufacturing.
The call has a total budget of €2.4 billion, with a maximum grant of 60% of relevant costs.
The funded categories are as follows:
1. Large-Scale Projects (capex > €100 million) - €1.2 billion;
2. Medium-Scale Projects (capex between €20 and €100 million) - €200 million;
3. Small-Scale Projects (capex between €2.5 and €20 million) - €100 million;
4. Clean-Tech Manufacturing (capex > €2.5 million) - €700 million;
5. Pilot Projects (innovative technologies with capex > €2.5 million) - €200 million.

The deadline for the calls is 24 April 2025, at 17:00.
