The new calls for proposals for LIFE, the European programme dedicated to the environment and climate action for the 2014-2020 period, were published on 28 April.
In 2017, the European Commission is making over €373m available to fund LIFE projects. €290m will be dedicated to the environment and €82m will go towards climate action.
The Commission is particularly interested in funding close-to-market projects, i.e. new solutions with clear benefits for the environment and climate, and with a technological and business maturity level that allows the solution to be implemented under close-to-market conditions.
