New EU Gateway business missions to Japan, Korea, and South-East Asia

Please note that the European Commission, through the EU Gateway | Business Avenues project and with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network, is organising the following missions to Asia:

  • mission to Korea in the Healthcare & Medical Technologies sector, from 11 to 15 March 2019; application deadline: 9 November 2018; For information and registration click here
  • mission to Singapore and the Philippines in the “Environment and Water technology” sector from 17 to 22 March 2019; application deadline: 16 November 2018. For information and registration click here
  • mission to Japan in the Environment and Water technology sector, from 11 to 15 March 2019; application deadline: 23 November 2018; For information and registration click here
  • mission to Japan in the Healthcare & Medical Technologies sector, from 17 to 21 March 2019; application deadline: 30 November 2018; For information and registration click here

Companies with the following characteristics are eligible to apply:

  • At least 5 years of operation and the ability to provide financial data for the last 3 years
  • Majority or fully European-owned capital
  • Headquartered in an EU Member State
  • Sufficient turnover and number of employees to successfully enter the target market
  • Evidence of having already undertaken international collaborations (outside the EU)
  • The company is a manufacturer, sub-contractor, research and development firm, or engineering company (not a business consultancy)

Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to participate in a 5-day mission to the target country. The package includes standard services such as coaching before, during, and after the business mission, the organisation of one-to-one meetings with local companies, and logistical and promotional support. These core services will be 100% co-funded, and accommodation expenses will also be covered up to a maximum of €1,000 (one room per company).

Participants may also benefit from additional bespoke services (consultancy on legal matters and certifications; interpreting services; assistance with the translation and printing of company brochures and documentation; legal information on potential business partners in the target market). For these activities, companies will receive 80% co-financing, up to a maximum of €1,000.
