EU Gateway | Business Avenues is promoting a new mission to Japan from 27 November to 1 December 2017, dedicated to the Railway Technologies & Services sector (for further information on the sector click here )

Japan is one of the world's leading producers of technologies and services for the railway sector. In this context, up to 40 European companies will be able to receive support from the EU to promote their products and technologies in this market. Selected companies will also benefit from pre-arranged B2B meetings held at the Mass-Trans Innovation trade fair in Chiba (Greater Tokyo Area).

Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to participate in a 5-day mission to the target country. The package includes standard services such as coaching before, during and after the business mission, the organisation of one-to-one meetings with local companies, and logistical and promotional support. These core services will be 100% co-funded, and accommodation expenses will also be covered up to a maximum of €1,000 (one room per company).

Participants will also be able to benefit from additional personalised services (advice on legal matters and certifications; interpreting services; assistance with the translation and printing of company brochures and documentation; and legal information on potential business partners in the target market). For these activities, companies will benefit from 80% co-funding, up to a maximum of €1,000.
