On 17 March 2016, during the ordinary general meeting of the LE2C cluster - Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster, the guest speaker, President of the Regional Council, Raffaele Cattaneo, maintained that environmental sustainability and energy policies are two priority themes for the Lombardy Region's operational agenda, and that the LE2C cluster is the ideal forum for discussion and facilitating joint action.

The afternoon featured a packed schedule of B2B meetings and pitches—short presentations by member companies—which proved highly successful: approximately 50 organisations, including businesses, research institutions, and banks, took part, resulting in over 120 B2B meetings and 17 pitches.
