Numerous meetings are already scheduled as part of the busy CES – Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, including sessions in the pavilions dedicated to Israeli and Italian startups. The #TechMission 2023 is gearing up and ready for take-off. Around twenty entrepreneurs and managers from Lombardy-based companies will participate in this year’s edition of the technology mission to the US West Coast. This recurring event, which was interrupted by the pandemic, returns under the banner of Confindustria Lombardia and the Digital Innovation Hub Lombardia, organised thanks to the extensive experience of Confindustria Varese in guiding Lombardy’s business community through the international hubs of global innovation, with scientific coordination provided by Professor Marco Astuti.

A comprehensive Study Tour taking place from 3 to 10 January, with stops in Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Francisco. The mission has three objectives: to identify and study the latest trends in Innovation and Communication Technology showcased at CES 2023, the world’s premier international consumer electronics exhibition held annually in Las Vegas; to engage with prominent figures in Silicon Valley on the subjects of digital transformation, emerging technologies and new market approaches currently taking hold in one of the world’s most vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems; and to apply the insights gained from the mission to foster networking, collaboration and growth within the participating companies, and to integrate these findings into the high-value-added system of Lombardy’s industrial sector.

At CES 2023, the TechMission includes meetings with industry leaders such as Panasonic, Giugiaro, Dassault Systèmes and the Automotive French Pavilion, as well as with Israeli and Italian start-ups achieving international success, particularly in the US. In Silicon Valley, the programme features discussions with Paolo Sacchetto, Director of Display Electrical Engineering at Apple; with Andrea Casella, Director Global Procure-to-Pay at Uber; and with Italian companies operating within INNOV.IT, the Italian Culture and Innovation Hub. These are just a few highlights of the study tour, which will be further enriched by engagements with the research community at Stanford University in San Francisco and with SkySong, the innovation, technology transfer and economic growth centre at the University of Arizona in Phoenix, where the tour will commence.SkySong, where the tour will begin.

The tour will be covered by Varesefocus through articles, video interviews, photo galleries and posts on Confindustria Varese’s social media channels. The hashtag is: #TechMission2023.
