SME internationalisation: the free “Access2Markets” online platform is now available

The European Commission has made “Access2Markets” available to SMEs, a completely free online platform designed to assist businesses with their internationalisation processes.

The portal allows SMEs to consult online tariffs, taxes, rules of origin, product requirements, customs procedures, trade barriers and statistics on trade flows for any product they intend to import or export. It is aimed at both businesses already operating internationally and those venturing into international trade for the first time.

Access2Markets was created to provide greater clarity on how trade agreements function, while simultaneously helping companies ensure their products can benefit from customs duty discounts.

It was launched during the virtual event “The road to recovery – empowering small businesses to trade internationally”, hosted by European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis.
