
The IMI 2 Joint Undertaking is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and the EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations), which represents the interests of European pharmaceutical industries and associations, with the aim of developing new vaccines, medicines and treatments to address the growing changes in the health sector in Europe and ensure the international competitiveness of the European pharmaceutical industry.
Two new calls for proposals have been published as part of this partnership.
The first call (call 7), which involves a 2-stage submission process, is intended to fundresearch and innovation actions (RIA), and coordination and support actions (CSA).
The call has a total budget of approximately €93 million, of which 50% is provided by the EFPIA and the IMI 2 partnership.
Deadlines:
The second call (call 8) is intended to fund research and innovation actions (RIA) through the single topic it comprises: “Ebola and other filoviral haemorrhagic fevers (Ebola+) programme: future outbreaks”.
The call has a total budget of up to €70 million, provided by the IMI2 JU.
