As of today, it is possible to submit large-scale projects under the Innovation Fund programme.
This programme, which has a budget of approximately €20 billion for the 2020-2030 period, funded by ETS allowances, aims to foster the transition to climate neutrality by supporting projects focused on reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
The budget allocated for this call is €1.5 billion. Projects that are not considered sufficiently mature to receive a grant, but are judged to be sufficiently innovative and promising, will receive technical assistance from the European Investment Bank.
The submission process for projects has been simplified, moving from a two-stage to a single-stage application. The deadline is 3 March 2022.
The European Commission has organised an Info Day to present the call on 10 November, for which registration is required here.
