On Friday 26 February, the President of Confindustria Lombardia hosted the Ambassador of Singapore to Italy, Mr Ow Chio Kiat, for lunch. The meeting provided an opportunity to showcase the excellence of the Lombardy system as a whole. There was a strong interest in collaborating through Lombardy’s technology clusters. In particular, the need to strengthen relations between the two regions was highlighted; by emphasising that Lombardy is the driving force of the Italian economy, it is hoped that an institutional delegation visiting Italy in May can be directed to Milan.
