On 7 May, Confindustria Lombardia hosted a business meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Industry, Trade and SMEs, Fakhry Abdel-Nour. During the round-table discussion, the Egyptian government presented its key initiatives to incentivise foreign investment in the country, alongside the opportunities offered by the market in anticipation of the opening of the African Continental Free Trade Area. Our member companies had the opportunity to discuss matters relating to their business operations in Egypt and to highlight any challenges they have encountered. The event also served as an opportunity to establish positive relations with the Consulate, thereby initiating a lasting and productive collaboration. The meeting was attended by 12 companies, 4 banks and a university.
