The Lombardy Life Sciences Cluster, following a resolution by the Assembly and a proposal from the Coordination Committee, has adopted a new legal status, transitioning from a Partnership Agreement to a recognised Association, thanks to the support of Assolombarda and Confindustria Lombardia. This new structure not only consolidates the organisation and enhances its operational capacity but also enables the cluster to compete with similar European entities for funding dedicated exclusively to clusters and their members.
At the same time, the appointment of Rosario Bifulco - Assolombarda’s Delegate for Territorial Competitiveness, Environment and Energy - as President of the cluster will see the business association become even more involved in activities supporting companies in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, health and wellness sectors. Furthermore, it will provide the cluster, which is strongly rooted in the research community, with the opportunity to strengthen its ties with the business world.
