Horizon 2020 - Call for expert evaluators in the climate and energy sectors

The EASME Agency has published a call for experts to evaluate European projects under the Horizon 2020 programme. Expertise is required in the following areas: climate action, environment, renewable resources and energy efficiency and raw materials.

Candidates are sought from a variety of backgrounds: local, regional and national authorities; the industrial sector; business associations and innovation agencies; universities and research institutes (particularly from Central and Eastern European countries).

Expertise is also required in at least one of the following fields:

  • climate services, climate change adaptation;
  • climate/urban resilience;
  • CO2 emission reduction;
  • decarbonisation;
  • in-situ earth observation, polar observation systems, marine observation systems;
  • disaster risk management and spatial planning;
  • green infrastructure;
  • water resource management, industrial processes;
  • circular economy, systemic eco-innovation;
  • waste management;
  • raw materials management;
  • mining, metallurgy, geology, mineralogy;
  • energy efficiency, energy recovery;
  • regional smart specialisation, innovation governance, business models.

Selected experts will assist EASME with the following activities:

evaluating project proposals submitted in response to the 2016/2017 Horizon 2020 calls for "Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials";

monitoring the implementation of actions funded by Horizon 2020

You may submit your application by registering by the end of 2015 on the European Commission database of independent experts (for further information click here ), from which the most suitable profiles will be selected.
