The European Commission has launched the Horizon 2020 Prize - Low Carbon Hospital programme, which provides €1,000,000 for the development of projects focused on energy efficiency and autonomy in hospitals through the integration of various renewable energy technologies.

Projects must integrate at least three renewable energy technology solutions with an energy storage system that generates at least 2,000,000 kWh annually and meets 100% of the hospital's energy requirements.

Applications may be submitted by any legal entity or private individual, either individually or as part of a partnership.

Proposals may be submitted until 17:00 on 3 April 2019.
