Global Start Up Program

The Italian Trade Agency (ICE) is organising the second edition of the Global Start Up Program, an integrated international development programme for a maximum of 150 innovative Italian startups focused on developing product or service innovations that intend to strengthen their technical, organisational and financial capabilities to enter new markets.

Startups may only apply for selection if they operate within one of the following sectors: ICT, Robotics and Industry 4.0, Aerospace, Automotive, Life Sciences, Smart Agriculture and Foodtech, Circular Economy, Smart Cities and Home Automation.

The Global Start Up Program offers participants a period of acceleration abroad with some of the leading international players in the focus countries: Argentina, China, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Japan, India, Israel, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Admission to the project selection phase and its subsequent implementation are free of charge: the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) will cover the cost of the return economy-class flight, accommodation, the acceleration programme at the partner incubator, and accident insurance.

The deadline for submitting applications is 22 June 2020, and only those startups that have submitted the formal Application Form in accordance with the procedures and terms set out in the Call for Applications will be admitted to the selection process.
