Fondimpresa, 10 million euros for SME training

PRESS RELEASE

FONDIMPRESA: 10 MILLION EUROS FOR MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISE TRAINING

Opportunities also for furloughed employees and apprentices

Milan, 15 October 2020 – Fondimpresa, the interprofessional fund for continuing education promoted by Confindustria, Cgil, Cisl and Uil, presents the new Notice 2/2020 aimed at all micro and small enterprises participating in the fund. This involves an allocation of 10 million euros intended to finance training for employees of companies that are members of Fondimpresa.

Each company will have access to an additional contribution to its Training Account, ranging from 1,500.00 to 3,500.00 euros, which can be used to support the upskilling and reskilling of its workforce, including those currently on furlough and apprentices for training activities other than the mandatory training required by their contract.

Companies may authorise Fondimpresa to pay selected training providers directly, avoiding the financial burden of advancing the costs of the training plan.

“Notice 2/2020,” states Fondimpresa President Bruno Scuotto, “is a significant opportunity for micro and small enterprises. We have an innovative tool at our disposal, designed to support the recovery phase for businesses and the country during this health emergency.”

“For the first time,” continues Scuotto, “companies will not have to advance training costs. For us, this means not leaving our businesses alone in their time of need, but rather offering them the chance to gain momentum to restart, to react together, and to face the future.”

“The national allocation addresses the needs of the Lombardy production sector, which is characterised by a strong presence of SMEs,” adds Chiara Manfredda, President of OBR Fondimpresa Lombardia. “Our companies understand the importance of investing in the training of their staff, and Notice 2/2020 can be a particularly useful tool during this complex phase.”

“The notice is of great importance for SME employees,” concludes Massimiliano Ratti, Vice President of OBR Fondimpresa Lombardia, “who will be able to use the work suspensions caused by this difficult period to deepen or retrain their skills.”

The submission of plans under Fondimpresa Notice 2/2020 will be permitted from 20 October 2020 until 31 December 2020.
