The “1st Financing Innovative Clean Tech Conference” will be held on 25 September. Organised by the European Commission, the event will focus on financing Clean Tech projects, with particular emphasis on the role of the Innovation Fund and the first InnovFund call for proposals.

This virtual conference will be the first in a series of conferences designed to raise awareness among the community of public and private financiers regarding the numerous business opportunities offered by the Innovation Fund and to promote dialogue with the industry.

Specifically, the focus will be on the business opportunities arising from the Innovation Fund's activities. In this regard, attention will be given to the InnovFund call for large-scale projects (with a budget of €1 billion), which opened on 3 July. The call covers innovative technologies for renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage, and carbon capture, use and storage.

Registration for the conference is free and open until 25 September. From that date until 9 October, it will also be possible to hold online B2B meetings on the subject (meeting requests can be submitted from 17 September).
