Eurostars: call for proposals now open to support SME research and development projects

The Eurostars Programme, currently supported by the 37 countries participating in the EUREKA network and the European Union, is dedicated to supporting transnational collaborative projects aimed at creating innovative products, processes and services. It provides funding for industrial research and development activities (excluding military applications) with a strong market orientation.

Participation in the Programme is open to innovative SMEs, universities, research organisations and large enterprises. The consortium must be led by an innovative SME and consist of at least two independent partners from two different countries.

As the programme is co-funded by the European Commission and national funds, eligible costs and funding amounts vary depending on the countries involved in the project (for Italy, further information is available at this link).

The maximum duration for projects is 36 months, while the maximum period for the innovative product, process or service to be introduced to the market is 24 months following the project's completion.

The deadline for submitting applications is 4 November.
