Lombardy is among the top three European regions, alongside Glasgow (Great Britain) and Lesser Poland (Poland), to have received the European Entrepreneurial Region award for 2016, promoted by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR).

The award ceremony was held on 9 July in Brussels, before a jury of key stakeholders who evaluated the best regional strategies for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in SMEs.
