
EIT Manufacturing EIT Manufacturing has launched a fast-track call for SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups with rapid, high-impact projects that directly address Covid-19.
The call comprises two Actions:
• Venture Support Programme: a venture support instrument for high-impact SMEs and scale-ups with growth potential, designed to help them overcome the Covid-19 crisis and adapt/grow in the post-crisis landscape;
• Pandemic Response Activities: for direct pandemic response projects that generate and implement short-term solutions with high potential impact on related manufacturing sector challenges.
The Venture Support is reserved for European-based manufacturing SMEs and scale-ups and may provide up to €500,000, disbursed in the second half of 2020. The objective is to safeguard R&D and Go-To-Market activities. EIT Manufacturing requires a financial sustainability contribution in the form of an equity share (for scale-ups) or revenue sharing/consultancy fees (for scale-ups and SMEs). Pandemic Response Activities, meanwhile, is aimed at short, innovative projects that can be implemented by the end of 2020. Funding from EIT Manufacturing will be provided as a reimbursement of eligible costs of up to €300,000, with a 15% co-funding requirement from partners. Projects must be submitted by consortia comprising at least two countries and at least one industrial partner. Proposals can be submitted via the EIT Manufacturing intranet system.
The call closes on 25/05/2020 at 12:00, and the results will be published on 30/06/2020.
