
The European Commission's European Innovation Council (EIC) received 257 proposals for the September 2023 EIC Transition call deadline. EIC Transition projects focus on results generated by EIC Pathfinder, FET (Future and Emerging Technologies) or European Research Council (ERC) Proof of Concept projects, with the aim of maturing these technologies. Grants of up to €2.5 million are available to validate and demonstrate technology in a relevant environment, and to support application and market readiness.
For the EIC Transition Open Call, 162 proposals were submitted from 26 countries, requesting a total budget of €393.5 million.
For the EIC Transition Challenges, 95 proposals were submitted from 23 countries, with a total funding request of €229.2 million.
The proposals are currently under evaluation, with projects expected to commence in spring 2024.
The next cut-off date for proposal submissions will be announced in the 2024 EIC work programme.
