
The results of the Open and Challenges calls for the EIC Transition programme have recently been published. This new Horizon Europe instrument aims to provide financial support for both the maturation and validation of innovative technologies and the development of a business model to facilitate their future commercialisation.
Out of 292 submitted proposals, 42 have been selected: 29 projects for the Open call, which had no predefined thematic priorities, and 13 for the Challenges call, covering the topics "Medical Technology and Devices - from Lab to Patient" (9 winning projects) and "Energy harvesting and storage technologies" (4 winning projects).
The requested funding amounts to €99 million, against a budget of approximately €100 million.
