
The European Commission has announced the allocation of €74 million to 18 innovative projects under the Pathfinder Pilot scheme, for the FET Proactive: Emerging Paradigms and Societies and Environmental Intelligence calls. The projects were selected from a total of 236 applications, resulting in a success rate of 7.6%.
The winning projects include artificial intelligence, low-cost clean energy storage and conversion, environmental parameter sensing for air and soil using miniaturised robotics, self-powered wireless sensors for monitoring urban environments, and many others.
All selected projects will receive – in addition to an average budget of approximately €4 million per project – business acceleration and coaching services provided by the European Innovation Council.
