The submission window for the EIC Pathfinder Open programme closed on 25 May, with 908 project proposals submitted and over 2 billion euros in funding requested.

Although the majority of proposals originated from universities and research institutes, 67% of private sector participants were Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which have shown significant interest in this call.

With a total budget of 168 million euros, the European Commission expects to fund approximately 55 projects.

The evaluation of proposals is currently underway; the results are expected to be published by the end of September.
