The EISMEA (European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency) has published the results of the 8 November cut-off for the EIC Accelerator funding for deep-tech start-ups.
The selection process is highly competitive: out of the 1,083 proposals submitted, 242 companies were interviewed by juries of experienced investors and entrepreneurs.
Of these, 42 companies have been selected to receive funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC), which this year amounts to approximately €285 million.
The majority of the winning companies (62%) will receive blended finance, consisting of a combination of grants and equity investments. The latter, in particular, will be managed through the EIC Fund.
The selected companies are based in 15 different countries, including Italy with Betaglue Technologies SpA, Moi Composites Srl, and Silk Biomaterials Srl.
The list of winning companies is available in the attachment.
