EIC Accelerator: €307 million awarded to 64 companies under the Green Deal cut-off

The European Commission has announced the results of the EIC Accelerator call for the May cut-off, which was dedicated entirely to the Green Deal.

The European Innovation Council has awarded €307 million to 64 companies from 17 different EU countries. A total of 2,101 proposals were received (a success rate of 3%).

The winning companies that requested blended finance (grant plus equity) number 38 (59.3%), representing a total of €182.6 million in equity investments; the remaining 26 companies opted for grant-only funding (40.6% of the total). It is also worth noting a substantial increase in winning companies led by women (more than one-third of the total).

Furthermore, the EIC has awarded 562 Seals of Excellence to assist deserving companies in securing funding from other sources.
