The 'Digital Export Business Academy' launched today, a series of 8 webinars organised by ITA - Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Lombardia for Lombardy-based SMEs.
During the first webinar, dedicated to web marketing, the discussion focused on the new business opportunities emerging from the digital revolution. What is the influence and impact of this disruptive digital transformation on consumer behaviour and business? It is a monumental shift that cannot be ignored: Adapt or die!
Over the last 20 years, we have experienced three phases of internet usage. We are now in the era of the internet of things, where connectivity between objects is crucial, and we are approaching the era of the internet in things, where we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in virtual reality and, by wearing devices, experience hybrid mixed reality environments. The second module, dedicated to Digital Strategy and Brand Reputation, explored:- how to create content tailored to the platforms used and when to post, optimising time and resources;
- how to expand your product offering by selling integrated services
- how to interact with the customer and consumer, who has become an integral part of defining marketing and market strategy
- how to manage a social media crisis when facing unfair criticism
These are some of the questions that Giuseppe Mayer addressed for our members during the Digital Export Academy, organised by Confindustria Lombardia and the Italian Trade Agency.
The third module of the Digital Export Business Academy is designed to support companies in developing their e-commerce capabilities.
A fundamental concept conveyed by the lecturer, Giulio Finzi, is omnichannel retailing: one can no longer consider physical commerce without integrating it with e-commerce, nor can one shift to digital while abandoning the physical experience. They must be developed in tandem, offering the customer or supplier the ability to choose between various interconnected channels.
The importance of investing in the brand, the near-exclusive use of smartphones for e-commerce purchases in certain markets, the availability of free online tools for conducting market research, and the transformation of trade fairs into virtual spaces were among the many topics addressed.
Confindustria Lombardia and its 9 territorial associations are available to support companies in understanding how to leverage digitalisation to revise their internationalisation strategy and become more competitive in foreign markets.
