At the suggestion of the World Manufacturing Foundation, Confindustria Lombardia, the Lombardy Region and the Consular Corps of Milan and Lombardy have been collaborating since the beginning of 2021 to strengthen international relations and synergies in order to promote the digital and green transition of the Lombardy ecosystem through discussion and the exchange of best practices.

To this end, a series of three webinars was held between May and July 2021, dedicated to policymakers, businesses and other stakeholders. With the support of the Lombardy Technology Clusters, these sessions initiated a dialogue between Lombardy and various geographical regions regarding policies and incentives in three key sectors:

- Clean energy: with the participation of the Consulates General of Australia and Brazil and the collaboration of the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (26 May 2021);

- Artificial intelligence: with the participation of the Consulates General of Canada and Poland and the collaboration of the Lombardy cluster, the Intelligent Factory Association;

- Sustainable mobility: with the participation of the Consulates General of Mexico and Finland and the participation of the Lombardy Mobility Cluster;
