
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has today published the industrial call for proposals for joint Italy-Israel research projects for 2020, under the Agreement for Cooperation in the field of Industrial, Scientific and Technological Research and Development.
Projects must be submitted jointly by an Italian and an Israeli partner. Specifically, the Italian entity may be either an industrial entity conducting research and development activities or a non-industrial entity. The Israeli entity must be an R&D company capable of generating profit from the sale of the project's developments.
Selected projects may receive funding of up to 50% of costs for research and development projects in one of the following technological areas: medicine, biotechnology, public health and hospital organisation; agriculture and food science; applications of information technology in education and scientific research; environment, water treatment; new energy sources, alternatives to oil and exploitation of natural resources; production process innovations; information technology, data communications, software, cybersecurity; space and earth observation.
The deadline for the submission of projects by Italian applicants is Monday 28 October 2019 at 17:00; the deadline for the submission of projects by the Israeli partner is 19 November 2019 at 17:00 (Israel time).
