The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the opportunities offered by the tax agreement between Italy and Switzerland for businesses, and to lay the foundations for a stable collaboration between Confindustria Lombardia and Economiesuisse, equivalent business representative associations that, beyond their geographical proximity, share the same interests and objectives. The two associations have decided to sign a letter of intent focused on a structured long-term collaboration programme, based on the exchange of technology and aggregation to generate added value for both countries.
Speakers at the forum included, among others, Alberto Ribolla, President of Confindustria Lombardia; Monika Rühl, Director General of Economiesuisse; Daniel Kraus, Deputy Director General of Confindustria; Martin Hodler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Infrè SA; Michele Rossi, delegate for the Ticino Economic Associations in Bern and Milan; and Luca Albertoni, Director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Canton of Ticino.
The meeting was attended by approximately 50 people, including officials from Confindustria Lombardia’s regional branches, officials and executives from Economiesuisse, and representatives from companies and institutions.
