Applications are now open for the Business Meets Innovation 2020 contest organised by the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Italien).

The initiative is aimed at innovative start-ups based in Italy and aims to facilitate matching between the innovation requirements of top players in the Italian-German business community and the innovative solutions offered by Italian start-ups.

Specifically, the contest focuses on three projects launched by BMI 2020 top players:

• Bizerba with “From Farm to Fork”
• Robert Bosch with “Retrofit Connectivity Dongle”
• Siemens with “Exposure Notification App Enhancement with AI”.

To register, you must indicate the project you wish to participate in via the online form and complete, sign, and stamp the regulations, which will also be emailed to all registrants. Participants will then receive an NDA to protect their ideas, which must be digitally signed by the participants themselves, AHK Italien, and the relevant top player.

Once registration is confirmed, start-ups must create a presentation (max. 10 slides) and/or a short video (max. 5 minutes) to be sent to contest@businessmeetsinnovation.com no later than 23:59 on 15 October 2020.

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend two webinars in July and September, during which they can ask the involved top players questions directly about the projects.

Selected start-ups will be required to deliver a pitch, and the winners will be announced on 19 January 2021 during the Winners’ Night at the Unicredit premises.
