As part of the EEN network activities, Confindustria Lombardia is promoting this consultation to gather the views of SMEs on EU regulations governing the management of chemical substance risks (excluding REACH), specifically the CLP Regulation (Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures) and related legislation
This consultation will assist the Commission in evaluating how the CLP Regulation has been implemented and how it interacts with other chemical substance regulations. The REACH Regulation is excluded as it falls outside the scope of this study and is being evaluated separately.
The study will contribute to an evaluation of European chemical substance legislation, known as a "fitness check". This check assesses the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, and EU added value of European legislation on the management of chemical substance risks. The objective is to promote better regulation and ensure the legislative framework is fit for current and future challenges. The legislation subject to this fitness check can be viewed at the following link:

All interested businesses (manufacturers, importers, distributors, or users of chemical substances and mixtures) are invited to participate by completing the online questionnaire at this link by 17 July 2016.
