As part of the EEN network activities, Confindustria Lombardia is promoting this consultation to enable businesses to contribute to the development of the future European legislative initiative on VAT treatment for small businesses.

The objective of this consultation is to gather information on how small and medium-sized enterprises perceive the operation of the special schemes provided for in Council Directive 2006/112/EC on the common system of value added tax (the VAT Directive) and how improvements might be made. This consultation is part of a broader project to review existing legislation in this area. The Commission's proposal on this matter is expected to be presented by the end of 2017.

The consultation is based on a questionnaire to be completed online at this link by 30 June 2016.

The questionnaire has been designed for micro-enterprises with a turnover preferably not exceeding 100,000 Euros. However, other small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to take part in the consultation are encouraged to participate.
