Confindustria Lombardia and Polieco sign agreement for businesses

Supporting businesses by facilitating their registration with the PolieCo consortium and assisting with regulatory obligations regarding the environmental levy and the requirements set out in Article 234 of Legislative Decree 152/2006: this is the objective underpinning the commitments recently signed between Confindustria Lombardia and the PolieCo Consortium. The two organisations have also agreed to establish a joint technical committee to analyse synergies and provide guidance and services to businesses.

This partnership will provide clear direction to businesses, which, with the support of Confindustria Lombardia’s regional representatives, will be able to meet with PolieCo officials at their Milan headquarters to review their specific circumstances.

Membership of the Consortium is mandatory for producers, importers, users, distributors, recyclers, and waste recovery operators, as well as for any entities involved in the management of waste consisting of polyethylene-based goods.

The two-year agreement initiates a mutual collaboration designed to enable companies to join PolieCo under specific conditions regarding the management of historical liabilities, while also providing access to information, assistance, and training.
